Ivan Dorn, born Ivan Aleksandrovich Eryomin on October 17, 1988, in Chelyabinsk, Russia, at the time part of the Soviet Union, is a Ukrainian artist. His family moved to Slavutych, Ukraine, when he was two. He began acting at age six at the «Gold autumn of Slavutich» festival. Ivan actively participated in sports, earning prizes in curling and lacrosse. He also received piano training, winning several competitions including the Moscow competition «Light your star» (1st place) and «Pearl of Crimea» (spectator sympathies prize). He also achieved 3rd place in «The Black sea games» in 2001, 2nd prize in 2005, and participated in «Yurmala 2008».
His musical career commenced in 2006 when he sang in a Moscow a cappella duo. He soon returned to Ukraine to pursue studies at the Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. In 2006, he co-founded the duo «Para Normalnykh» with Anna Dobrydneva. From 2007 to 2010, they performed together. In 2008, he began his television career as the host of _Guten Morgen_ on M1 channel. After 2010, he transitioned to a solo career. His debut studio album, “Co’N’Dorn,” released in 2012, garnered significant attention and multiple awards in both Russia and Ukraine, where he was recognized as “an idol for a new generation.”
Beyond his musical releases, Dorn has served as a judge on _X Factor Ukraine_ in 2014 and a coach on _The Voice Ukraine_ in 2016. In 2016, he established Masterskaya, an independent music label dedicated to promoting Ukrainian underground music. His participation in the 2014 New Wave music festival, where he performed a Ukrainian-language song wearing a sweater with the coat of arms of Ukraine, drew both positive and critical reactions. He further expanded his artistic endeavors by starring in his first film, _Petrov’s Flu_, which premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. In February 2022, he condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, leading to his inclusion in a list of artists banned from performing in Russia, and his label Masterskaya subsequently closed its music catalog for users in Russia and Belarus.
