Accomplished American actor and screenwriter Jack Coleman is best known for playing Steven Carrington in ABC’s iconic primetime soap opera Dynasty for most of the 1980s. He’s also well-regarded for his memorable turn as Noah Bennet in NBC’s sci-fi drama Heroes from 2006-2010, as well as recurring roles as State Senator Robert Lipton (the love interest of both Angela Kinsey and Oscar Nunez) on NBC’s hit comedy The Office U.S. from 2010-2013 and State Senator William Bracken on ABC’s Castle from 2012-2015.
Colemon’s first major role came in the soap opera Days of Our Lives in 1981 as “The Salem Strangler ” Jake Kositchek, which immediately preceded his breakthrough in Dynasty. He then went from strength to strength, accumulating credits in an array of popular TV shows such as The Naked Truth, Nip/Tuck, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, Entourage, The Mentalist, House, The Vampire Diaries, Criminal Minds, Chicago P.D, Avengers Assemble and most recently Hawaii Five-O in 2018. He’s also starred and co-starred in a long list of movies and TV movies such as The Pursuit of Happiness (1988), Spawn (1997), Shailene Woodley’s debut movie Replacing Dad (1999), Polar Storm (2009) and Salvation (2014).
A well-respected figure in the industry through his long and successful career on the small-screen, Coleman recently reprised his role as Noah Bennet in the miniseries Heroes Reborn, which served as a continuation of the original Heroes storyline. In 2019 he also starred in the movie version of Graham Farrow’s award-winning, critically acclaimed stage play Rattlesnakes. Coleman’s tireless work ethic means that he will undoubtedly appear in a great deal more big-name television shows over the coming years, being a popular choice for casters due to his admirable confidence and experience.
