Jack Ford

An Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist and legal analyst, Jack Ford initiated his distinguished career as a prosecutor for three years in New Jersey. He then transitioned to private practice, becoming a recognized trial attorney who handled high-profile cases, including the Northeast’s first death penalty trial and one of the nation’s earliest corporate homicide cases. An alumnus of Yale University, Ford earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham Law School, where he also served as an adjunct professor and notably won three games on the television quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’. In 1984, he commenced his television news career as a legal commentator for WCBS-TV in New York, subsequently becoming one of the original anchors for the launch of Court TV in 1991.

His academic engagements include a Visiting Lecturer role at Yale University since 2007, teaching ‘Trials of the Century,’ a seminar he taught at New York University in 2019. In 2009, Ford authored the novel, ‘The Osiris Alliance’. Since 2018, Jack Ford has also served as a college football analyst for ESPN, providing coverage for Ivy League games. He maintains his impactful roles as a CBS News Legal Analyst and a Visiting Lecturer at Yale University.
