United States Jackie Tohn is an American actress and musician known for her diverse roles in television and film, including 'GLOW' and 'Do, Re & Mi'.
Jackie Tohn co-created the new animated preschool musical series, DO RE & MI, set to air on Amazon in the Spring of 2021. She also co-wrote all 50 of the songs for the series and voices a character, 'Re', in the show.

Jaclyn Tohn was born on August 25, 1980, in Oceanside, New York. She began her acting career at a young age, with her onscreen debut at age 10 as an extra in the PBS children’s series ‘Ghostwriter’. Her first credited role was on the CBS sitcom ‘The Nanny’. Tohn attended the University of Delaware, majoring in elementary education, and was part of the a cappella group the Deltones in the fall of 1998. In 1999, she moved to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting career, where she resided with actress Jessica Biel.
Her career continued with stage performances, including a role in the one-act play ‘This Property Is Condemned’ by Tennessee Williams in November 1999 and starring in ‘Jewtopia’ at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood in March 2004, which later moved to New York. Tohn also developed her music career, releasing an EP titled ‘The Golden Girl’ in November 2005 and later two full studio albums, ‘Beguiling’ in 2009 and ‘2.Yo’ in 2010. She gained wider recognition in 2009 when she participated in the eighth season of ‘American Idol’, reaching the Top 36. In 2011, she competed in the songwriting-competition reality show ‘Platinum Hit’ on Bravo, where she finished in 7th place.
Tohn’s acting career saw a significant role when she was cast as Melanie “MelRose” Rosen in the Netflix series ‘GLOW’, which ran from 2017 to 2019 across 28 episodes, earning her five nominations collectively. She also appeared in the film ‘A Futile and Stupid Gesture’ in 2018, portraying Gilda Radner. Expanding her portfolio, Tohn co-created the animated preschool musical series ‘Do, Re & Mi’ for Amazon, which premiered in 2021, and also served as an executive producer and voice actress for the show. More recently, she has appeared in ‘The Boys’ (2019) and its spinoff ‘Gen V’ (2023) as Courtenay Fortney, and as a judge on the Netflix cooking competition ‘Best Leftovers Ever!’ (2020), showcasing her diverse talents across various entertainment platforms.
