Jade Sheena Jezebel Jagger was born on October 21, 1971, in Paris, France, to Mick Jagger and Bianca Jagger. Her early life involved exposure to the arts and fashion through her well-known parents. Jagger embarked on her professional journey in the late 1980s by establishing Jade Inc., a venture focused on creating unique jewellery pieces. This initial business quickly gained global recognition, with her designs being sold in prominent retail establishments such as Maxfields, Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys, Colette, Browns, and The Cross. This early success laid the groundwork for her extensive career in design. In 1996, Jade Inc. evolved into an integrated jewellery and fashion brand.
Her career progressed significantly in 2001 when she was appointed as the Creative Director for Garrard, a historic English luxury jewellery company. During her seven-year tenure until 2006, Jagger was instrumental in modernizing the brand, introducing collections like the “Wing design,” which remains a strong seller. She also oversaw the interior design for Garrard’s flagship stores in major cities including London, New York, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. In 2004, Jagger expanded her design work into real estate, collaborating with design partner Tom Bartlett and YOO (John Hitchcox, Philippe Starck) to design luxury apartments under the ‘Jade Jagger for yoo’ umbrella in locations such as New York, Mumbai, and the UK. Her influence extended to other creative fields, leading her to launch “Jezebel” in 2007, a lifestyle concept that integrates music, clothing, and lifestyle elements, which notably introduced artists like Mark Ronson and Lily Allen to the international club scene. In 2009, she launched her individual jewellery brand, Jade Jagger Inc., which also included fashion couture and luxury items sold online and in her London and Goa stores. Jade Jagger’s work continues to be recognized, with her fine jewellery currently distributed in 18 countries worldwide, reflecting her sustained impact in the design industry.
