Jaime Lyn Beatty, a native of New York City, developed her performing arts skills early, graduating from the FAME school in NYC. She continued her education at the University of Michigan, where she earned a BFA from its School of Music, Theatre & Dance. In 2009, Beatty gained attention as a founding member of the viral sensation Team Starkid. She first performed as Ginny Weasley in *A Very Potter Musical*, a production that marked the beginning of her extensive involvement with the company. Her collaborations with Team Starkid continued for over a decade, featuring in productions like *Me and My Dick* in 2009, *A Very Potter Sequel* in 2010 playing Rita Skeeter and Ginny Weasley, and *Starship* in 2011 where she performed as Neato Mosquito. She also participated in their national tours, SPACE in 2011 and Apocalyptour in 2012.
Throughout her career, Beatty has demonstrated versatility in various roles and projects. In 2015, she performed as Daughter in *The Trail to Oregon!*, which had an off-Broadway run. Her work in *Firebringer* in 2016 as Schwoopsie and *The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals* in 2018, where she played Charlotte, Nora, and Deb, earned her critical recognition. Notably, she received the Broadway World Award for “Best Featured Actress in A Musical” in 2019 for her roles in *The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals*. Beyond her stage work, Beatty has contributed as a writer and host for original digital shows for major platforms like Google and Netflix, showcasing her adaptability in different media. She also released her debut EP, *Dolphin Safe Tunes*, in 2013.
In recent years, Beatty has continued to be active in both theatre and digital content. In 2020, she appeared in *A VHS Christmas Carol* as Christmas Past and was featured in the *Starry* concept album in the role of Émile Bernard. Her acting credits extend to television with an appearance as Elena in an episode of *iCarly* in 2022. She has also taken on producing roles for projects such as *Designated Rider* in 2020 and multiple *VHS Christmas Carols* videos. Beatty’s training includes improvisational comedy from The Groundlings, Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), and Second City, which has contributed to her ability to bring warmth and humor to her performances.
