In 2016 James McCoy Taylor appeared on season 12 of The Bachelorette, trying to win the heart of Joelle ¨Jojo¨ Fletcher, herself a previous contestant on The Bachelor. During his tenure on the show, he was known as a fan favorite and the token sweet singer-songwriter. He was left heartbroken when JoJo broke up with him in week seven of the show.
Following his TV debut, in 2019 James released an album called Good to Be Back Here With Y’all including a song about former President Donald J. Trump, titled “Great Again¨ in which Taylor samples Trump’s speeches. The song is in reference to Donald Trump’s infamous slogan ¨Make American Great Again.¨ Taylor’s song went on to receive praise from Donald Trump Jr. who promoted it on his Instagram. He also authored conservative anthem “Are You With Us or Not?” Taylor is a member of TayloredPR Public Relations Consultants, a boutique PR firm.
In June of 2020 The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever premiered, featuring a condensed version of Jojo’s season. In a 2020 Instagram AMA, or ‘ask me anything’, James revealed he has been twice asked to appear on The Bachelor`s sister show Bachelor In Paradise. James remains active on social media and his Instagram account has over 130,000 followers. Taylor keeps up with his fans by tweeting regularly about his political opinions and The Bachelor franchise.
