The wonderful Jamie Chapman is a stage, screen and radio actor best known for his role as Brains in the Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant sitcom Extras, and for playing Ziggy opposite Craig Charles in the sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf XII. He also appeared in the third series of Netflix’s The Crown.
London-based Chapman trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and made his stage debut in 2001 in a production of Pericles at the Bristol New Vic Theatre. He has since gone on to tread the boards in countless other productions, including Hound of the Baskervilles, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Mousetrap, Noises Off, and Nativity! The Musical at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. He made his break into TV in an episode of Channel 5’s Harry and Cosh, and since then has appeared in such shows as Eastenders, Catherine Tate’s – Nan (Specials), Doctors, Extras, Red Dwarf XII, Holby City, and The Crown.
