Jared Goff

Jared Goff was selected as the first overall pick by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2016 NFL Draft. After a challenging rookie season, Goff experienced a significant breakout in 2017 under new head coach Sean McVay, leading the Rams to their first playoff appearance since 2004. He earned his first Pro Bowl selection in 2017 and was recognized as the PFWA Most Improved Player that same year. His performance in 2017 also secured him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 9.

The following year, Goff guided the Rams to Super Bowl LIII and received a Pro Bowl nod in 2018. During the 2018 season, he was named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September and NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4. In 2021, Goff was traded to the Detroit Lions, where he continued to demonstrate his leadership and skill. In his third year with the franchise, he led the team to their first playoff win since 1991, guiding them to the NFC Championship Game.

Goff’s continued impact on the league was underscored in May 2024 when he signed a significant four-year contract extension with the Lions, valued at 212 million dollars. He further enhanced his impressive career milestones by being named NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October 2024 and receiving the 2025 Pro Bowl Offensive MVP award in 2025. Additionally, he earned an NFC Offensive Player of the Week honor in Week 2 of 2025.
