Jared Grasso

Jared Grasso is a prominent American college basketball coach known for his impressive coaching career and notable achievements. As the head coach of the Bryant Bulldogs men’s basketball team since 2018, Grasso has been recognized for his exceptional leadership and coaching abilities. Grasso’s playing career began at Quinnipiac, where he excelled as a point guard, ranking fifth all-time in assists and fourth all-time in three-point field goals. He graduated in 2002 as Quinnipiac’s second 1,000-point scorer in its Division I era and was later inducted into the university’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014. Following his playing career, Grasso embarked on a successful coaching journey, gaining coaching experience at various institutions, including Hofstra, Hartford, and Fordham, where he served as an assistant coach under esteemed coaches. At 29 years old, Grasso made history as the youngest Division I head coach in the country when he took over as interim head coach for Fordham in 2009. Grasso’s most notable coaching accomplishment came when he was named the head coach of Bryant men’s basketball team in 2018. Under his leadership, the Bulldogs achieved one of the nation’s biggest turnarounds, tripling their win total. Consequently, Grasso was recognized as a finalist for the Joe B. Hall Award as the nation’s top first-year head coach.
