United States Jared Grasso has transitioned from a collegiate athlete to a successful basketball coach at various Division I institutions, now leading The Knox School's basketball program.
Jared Grasso was named Interim Head Coach at Fordham University on December 3, 2009, following three and a half years as a Fordham assistant coach.
Grasso served as an assistant at Quinnipiac University, his alma mater, in 2005-06, where his responsibilities included recruiting, scouting opponents, and organizing daily practices. He also played there.
Prior to his stay at Quinnipiac, Grasso was an assistant coach at the University of Hartford for two years.

Grasso became the eighth men's basketball coach in Bryant University's history, bringing 16 years of experience in Division I coaching. He led the Bulldogs to an NCAA tournament appearance and was named NEC Coach of the Year.
The Knox School announced the addition of Jared Grasso to its coaching and leadership team as Director of Athletic Advancement and Recruitment, and Head Coach of Varsity and PG Boys Basketball.
Grasso played a key role in Iona College's unprecedented success, contributing to five NCAA Tournament appearances and multiple Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament Championships.

Jared Grasso was born on May 11, 1980, in Syosset, New York. He attended St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, New York, from 1994 to 1998, earning Honorable Mention All-American honors as a senior. Grasso then pursued his higher education at Quinnipiac University, where he was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the men’s basketball team, graduating with a degree in mass communications in May 2002. During his playing career, he accumulated 1,134 career points, ranking 22nd on Quinnipiac’s all-time scoring list. He also holds a top-five position in assists with 404 and three-point field goals with 216. In recognition of his contributions, he was inducted into Quinnipiac’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.
Grasso began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Hofstra University in 2002-03. He then served as an assistant coach at the University of Hartford for two years before returning to his alma mater, Quinnipiac University, as an assistant coach in 2005-06. In 2006, he joined Fordham University as an assistant coach and was named Interim Head Coach on December 3, 2009. Following his tenure at Fordham, Grasso held roles as an assistant coach (2010–2011) and associate head coach (2011–2018) at Iona, where the team achieved five NCAA Tournament appearances. On April 2, 2018, Grasso was appointed the eighth head coach of the Bryant University men’s basketball team.
At Bryant, Grasso led the team to its first-ever Northeast Conference Regular Season and Tournament titles, securing an NCAA Division I Tournament berth in 2022. He was named the NEC Coach of the Year in 2022 and was also recognized as a finalist for the Joe B. Hall Award for the nation’s top first-year head coach. His leadership contributed to the program tripling its win total. In April 2024, Grasso was named Director of Athletic Advancement and Recruitment and Head Coach of Varsity and Postgraduate Boys Basketball at The Knox School.
