About

Born on January 8, 1990, in Cheraw, South Carolina, Jaron Brown developed into a gifted athlete during his high school years at Cheraw High School. He was instrumental in leading the Cheraw Braves to state titles in both his junior and senior years. As a senior, he recorded 31 catches for 516 yards and 16 touchdowns, earning all-state, all-area, and all-region honors. Brown’s athletic talent extended to defensive back, where he accumulated 100 tackles and four interceptions. He was recognized as the #57 athlete in the nation and the #16 prospect in South Carolina by Rivals.com, and the #56 wideout in the nation by Scout.com. He also excelled in basketball and track, where he was an all-region performer in various events. Brown chose Clemson University for his college career, turning down offers from several other Division I schools.

After redshirting in 2008, Brown made his collegiate debut in 2009, appearing in 11 games for the Clemson Tigers. His role expanded significantly in 2010, when he had 32 catches for 405 yards and three touchdowns, finishing fourth on the team in receptions and second in receiving yards. In 2011, he continued to contribute with 31 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns. Brown was a team co-captain in his senior year in 2012, recording 21 receptions for 345 yards. He was part of a notable wide receiver group at Clemson, alongside future NFL players such as DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins. His college career concluded with 87 receptions for 1,186 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Brown entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2013, signing with the Arizona Cardinals. He spent five seasons with the Cardinals, establishing himself as a reliable receiver and special teams player. A significant turning point in his career was his strong performance in the 2017 season, where he had 31 receptions for 477 yards and four touchdowns, becoming the team’s No. 2 starting wide receiver. Following his tenure with the Cardinals, Brown signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2018, where he continued to contribute, most notably with a multi-touchdown game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. He concluded his playing career with a brief second stint with the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in 2020.
