Jason Hewlett was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1978. His musical talent was discovered early at The Waterford School, where he founded the Troubadours choral program and served as student body president in 1997. Following a post-high school mission in Brazil that ended in 1999, Hewlett began his professional career, performing as a halftime entertainer for University of Utah and Brigham Young University basketball games. In 2001, he joined Las Vegas-based Legends in Concert as an impersonator for Ricky Martin and Elton John. By 2002, he transitioned to working independently as a corporate events headliner, gaining recognition for his family-appropriate and humorous material. He notably turned down offers from Las Vegas casinos in 2004 that required him to alter his act to be less family-friendly, choosing instead to continue performing for corporate events and speaking to youth in school assemblies.
In 2011, Hewlett announced his retirement from public events to focus on corporate and youth engagements, occasionally lending his talents to charitable causes. A significant milestone occurred in 2014 when he performed his one-man show for the National Speakers Association Foundation Event. The same year, he embarked on a US Military Tour across the Middle East and Southwest Asia, entertaining troops in Kuwait, Bahrain, Djibouti, Addis-Ababa, and Afghanistan. In 2016, the National Speakers Association invited him as a keynote speaker for their national Influence conference and inducted him into the Speaker Hall of Fame (CPAE Council of Peers Award of Excellence), making him one of the youngest recipients. Hewlett has delivered over 2,000 presentations for Fortune 500 companies including American Express, Delta Airlines, and Wells Fargo, effectively combining entertainment with leadership insights. His career continues to primarily involve keynote speeches, where he inspires audiences globally with his blend of storytelling, comedy, and insights into leadership. He authored “Signature Moves: How To Stand Out in a Sit Down World” in 2014 and “The Promise To The One” in 2020, which became a #1 Hot Release on Amazon in Spiritual Self-Help.
In 2023, he addressed aspiring medical professionals at the HOSA State Leadership Conference, guiding them to identify their unique contributions. In 2024, Hewlett participated in the Tucker Carlson Tour, opening fourteen shows alongside figures such as Glenn Beck, Kid Rock, and Donald Trump. This participation led to the reported loss of all his corporate speaking opportunities for 2025. Despite this, Hewlett continues to advocate for his beliefs and engage audiences through his diverse talents. He released his original music album “Good To Me,” featuring the song “My 8-ft. Tall Doll (The Chewbacca Song),” popular among youth audiences. His personal life includes being married to Tami Spenst Hewlett with four children, and dedicates over 20 hours monthly to community service and philanthropy in Utah.
