Jason Logan

Jason Logan is an award-winning illustrator, writer, and art director, recognized for his innovative approach to ink-making and graphic design. After the international success of his first book, If We Ever Break Up, This Is My Book, which was translated into seven languages following its 2005 release, Jason Logan went on to establish a multifaceted career as an award-winning illustrator, writer, and art director. Early in his career, Logan’s distinctive illustrations were featured in prominent publications including The New York Times, The Walrus, and The Globe and Mail. He expanded his literary contributions by authoring iGeneration in 2007 and Festus in 2010.

Logan also lent his artistic vision to book design, crafting hand-lettering and covers for esteemed publishers such as Coach House Books and HarperCollins. Logan’s dedication to sustainable practices led him to found the Toronto Ink Company, a pioneering venture dedicated to producing artist’s inks from foraged and found natural materials. This innovative approach to artisanal craftsmanship and environmental sustainability culminated in his critically acclaimed 2018 publication, Make Ink: A Forager’s Guide to Natural Inkmaking. The book details his unique ink-making process and philosophy, further solidifying his position as a notable figure at the intersection of creative arts and environmental stewardship.
