Jason Ralph is an American actor and theater producer known for his lead role in Syfy’s “The Magicians” and supporting roles in various acclaimed television series and films. After co-founding the Strangemen Theater Company in 2010 with peers from Purchase College, now known as Strangemen & Co., Jason Ralph has built an extensive career as both an acclaimed actor and a respected theater producer. As an artistic director, Ralph oversaw the production of several acclaimed plays, including the Obie Award-winning production of ‘The Woodsman’ by James Ortiz and Edward W. Hardy.
Throughout the 2010s, Strangemen & Co. produced various off-Broadway productions, workshops, and an annual theater festival, also holding summer residencies at the Guild Hall of East Hampton in 2015 and 2018. Ralph continues to serve as the company’s Artistic Director and President. Ralph began his on-screen career with roles in television series such as ‘The Good Wife’ (2010) and ‘Gossip Girl’ (2011), later appearing in film projects like ‘Brightest Star’ (2013) and ‘I’m Obsessed with You’ (2014).
His recent television work includes a recurring role as Aaron Knodel in the critically acclaimed limited series ‘Three Women’ (2024), where he acted alongside Shailene Woodley and Betty Gilpin. Post-pandemic, Ralph further demonstrated his producing prowess by producing and starring in ‘The Great Filter,’ notably one of the first Off-Broadway plays to open, solidifying his versatility and ongoing impact across both acting and theatrical production.
