In 2015, Goldsmith founded Instinct Productions, a company dedicated to television, documentaries, and film production. Her work as a producer has garnered significant recognition, including executive producing the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated 10-part FX drama series “Impeachment: American Crime Story.” She also executive produced the Emmy-nominated HBO/Sky Atlantic docuseries “The Case Against Adnan Syed” and the award-winning A&E docuseries “The Clinton Affair.” Her produced works demonstrate a focus on impactful storytelling, often exploring real-world events and social issues.
Her debut screenplay, “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, a feature film produced with Working Title and StudioCanal, premiered at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. The film achieved critical acclaim, winning Best Comedy at the 2022 Rome Film Festival and four National Film Awards in 2023, including Best Screenplay and Best British Film. Further showcasing her commitment to documentary filmmaking, she executive produced Seemab Gul’s multi-award-winning short film “Sandstorm” (Mulaqat) in 2022, which premiered at the 78th Venice International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival, and Tanaz Eshaghian’s documentary short “As Far As They Can Run,” which was shortlisted for the 2023 Academy Awards. Her contributions extend to philanthropy, having established the Jemima Khan Afghan Refugee Appeal and serving as a UNICEF UK Ambassador.
