Jenna Dewan has transitioned from a successful backup dancer for premier music artists to an accomplished actress and producer, known for her roles in films like “Step Up” and television series such as “The Rookie.” After establishing herself as a dynamic backup dancer for premier music artists, Jenna Dewan transitioned into an accomplished actress and producer, recognized for her versatile performances in film and television. Her professional journey in entertainment began with touring as a backup dancer for prominent artists such as Janet Jackson in 2000 and Ricky Martin, further appearing in Janet Jackson’s ‘All for You’ music video and tour in 2001. Dewan showcased her early talent in numerous music videos for artists including Justin Timberlake, Mandy Moore, and Missy Elliott before making her acting debut in television sitcoms like ‘Quintuplets’ in 2004, followed by ‘The Young and the Restless’ (2004) and ‘Joey’ (2005). Dewan secured her breakout starring role as Nora Clark in the 2006 film Step Up, where her extensive dancing background was central to the character, significantly elevating her profile in the film industry.

Continuing her prolific career, Dewan joined the main cast of ‘The Rookie’ in 2021 as Bailey Nune, a role she maintains into 2024.
