About

Jenna Wolfe was born Jennifer Wolfeld on February 26, 1974, in Kingston, Jamaica. She spent her early years in Pétion-Ville, Haiti, before her family relocated to the United States in 1989. Wolfe pursued her higher education at SUNY Geneseo from 1992 to 1994 and later graduated from Binghamton University in 1996 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in French and English. Her broadcasting career began in 1996 as a news and sports reporter at WICZ, the FOX affiliate in Binghamton, NY. She continued her local news career at WUHF in Rochester, NY, from 1998 to 1999, and then at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia from 1999 to 2002, where she was notably the first female sportscaster on local broadcast television in the city.

Wolfe’s career progressed into prominent national roles, including two years at the Madison Square Garden Network from 2002 to 2004, and three years as the weekend morning sports anchor for WABC’s Eyewitness News in New York City from 2004 to 2007. During her time at WABC, she featured a segment called “Jenna’s Beef,” where she provided editorial commentary on sports events. In 2007, Wolfe joined NBC News, becoming a correspondent for the “Today” show and a Sunday co-anchor for “Weekend Today,” transitioning to news anchor for “Weekend Today” from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, she served as the first-ever “Today” lifestyle and fitness correspondent and an NBC News national correspondent. Her work on “Today” included delivering reports on breaking news and showcasing her expertise in health and wellness. Wolfe also expanded her on-screen presence with acting roles, appearing in “The Buffalo Son” (2009) as an Anchor Woman, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2012–2015) in three episodes, “Royal Pains” (2014) as Publicist Sarah, and “Homeland” (2017) as Reporter #4 and Reporter #1 for two episodes.

Following her tenure at NBC, Wolfe moved to Fox Sports 1 in September 2017 to co-host “First Things First” with Kevin Wildes and Nick Wright, a role she held until August 2022. She also worked as a field correspondent for “Yellowstone Live” on National Geographic. Beyond her broadcasting, Wolfe has cultivated a brand around personal fitness, authoring a book and developing an online show focused on well-being. She is also a recognized personal trainer and health and wellness expert, often speaking at events, and has served as a judge on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” Wolfe has leveraged her journalistic and fitness background to become an executive media coach, offering broadcast-caliber media training to organizations.
