Jeremy Ray Taylor was born on June 2, 2003, in Bluff City, Tennessee, to Tracy and Michael Taylor. As the youngest of four boys, he developed a stage persona early in life. At eight years old, he began his acting career after being signed to a talent manager. This early start led to his uncredited film debut in “42” in 2013, followed by small roles in “Ant-Man” and “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” in 2015, showcasing his initial entry into the film industry.
Taylor’s career progressed significantly with his role as Ben Hanscom in the 2017 adaptation of Stephen King’s “It.” This performance garnered wider recognition and was followed by his appearance in “Geostorm” the same year. He continued portraying Ben Hanscom in “It Chapter Two” in 2019, further establishing his presence in major horror franchises. Additionally, he took on the role of Sonny Quinn in “Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween” in 2018, expanding his portfolio of work in popular family-friendly films.
His television career includes roles such as Graham Raimi in the series “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” from 2019 and Bridger Ryan in “Big Sky” from 2021 to 2022, appearing in 11 episodes. In 2022, he acted in the film “Senior Year.” Taylor is also venturing into directing, with the upcoming short film “Unarmed Divide” where he is credited as a director. He is also involved as an executive producer for the 2025 film “London Calling,” in which he also star. Taylor received an MTV Movie & TV Award for Best On-Screen Team in 2018 for “It.”
