Jesper Nelin

Jesper Nelin was born on October 3, 1992, in Värnamo, Sweden. He commenced his World Cup biathlon career in December 2015, making his debut during the 2015–16 season. His initial participation in the World Championships occurred in Oslo in 2016. Nelin has represented Sweden at multiple international competitions, including the Winter Olympics in 2018 and 2022.

Nelin’s professional trajectory has been characterized by steady improvement, particularly in relay events. A notable milestone occurred at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, where he secured a gold medal in the men’s 4 x 7.5 km relay alongside teammates Peppe Femling, Sebastian Samuelsson, and Fredrik Lindström. He further contributed to Sweden’s relay success by earning a silver medal at the 2021 Pokljuka World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2023 Oberhof World Championships. In 2024, Nelin achieved another gold medal in the 4 x 7.5 km relay at the World Championships in Nové Město, reinforcing his standing as a key member of the Swedish biathlon team.
