Jessica Kellgren-Fozard

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard (née Kellgren-Hayes) was born on January 25, 1989, in Camden, London, and raised in Bristol. Her mother, Lee Kellgren, is a dyslexic artist, and her father, Derek W. Hayes, is an animator. She is the granddaughter of Jonas Kellgren, a notable figure in rheumatology. Jessica attended Sidcot School and Cotham School before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Screen Studies from the University of Brighton. Her career in broadcasting began in 2008 when she participated in the BBC Three reality series ‘Britain’s Missing Top Model,’ where she finished in third place.

In 2014, Jessica appeared on Brighton-based LatestTV, co-hosting movie review series such as ‘PostFeature’ and ‘Movie Line,’ and conducting interviews for ‘FilmFest’ in 2015. She subsequently hosted her own educational entertainment television show, ‘Quintessentially Jessica,’ in 2016. Her YouTube channel, launched in 2011, has garnered over a million subscribers, focusing on vintage fashion, disability issues, and LGBTQ+ topics. In 2019, she collaborated with The School of Life for a YouTube Originals series, discussing happiness. In December 2020, she was featured in YouTube UK’s ‘The Rise’ campaign, selected by Daniel Howell.

Jessica contributed a chapter to the anthology ‘Owning It: Tales from our Disabled Childhoods,’ published by Faber & Faber. She was awarded an honorary PhD from the University of Worcester in 2018 for her work in disability awareness. Personal life details include her marriage to Claudia Fozard in 2016 and the birth of their son, Rupert, in 2021, followed by twin daughters, Theodora and Augusta, in 2025. Jessica openly discusses her experiences with hereditary neuropathy, Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, deafness, blindness in one eye, memory loss, and ADHD.
