Jessica Pegula

Jessica Pegula, who turned professional in 2009, made her Grand Slam singles debut at the 2015 US Open, advancing through qualifying and winning her first main draw match. Her early career saw her reach the Major third round in doubles in 2011, demonstrating her developing talent. In 2018, she reached her first WTA Tour singles final at the Tournoi de Québec. The following year, Pegula secured her first WTA Tour title at the Washington Open, an achievement that placed her within the top 100 rankings for the first time.

She played a crucial role in the US team’s victory at the inaugural United Cup and secured her second Canadian Open title. Her exceptional singles performance also led her to the WTA Finals championship match. The 2024 season saw Pegula successfully defend her Canadian Open title and advance to her first Grand Slam singles final at the US Open, where she finished as runner-up, underscoring her consistent top-tier performance. In 2025, Pegula expanded her achievements by winning her first clay court title at the Charleston Open and securing her third title of the season at the Bad Homburg Open.
