Jessica Stroup

Jessica Stroup was born on October 23, 1986, in Anderson, South Carolina. At the age of 17, she declined a scholarship to the University of Georgia to pursue an acting career, moving to Los Angeles to take acting classes and secure modeling and acting opportunities. Her early career included appearances in horror films such as “Vampire Bats” (2005), “Left in Darkness” (2006), and her first leading role in “The Hills Have Eyes 2” (2007) where she played Amber Johnson, an Army National Guard soldier. She also appeared in “Prom Night” (2008) as Claire and “Homecoming” (2009) as Elizabeth Mitchum, contributing to her recognition as a “scream queen.”

Stroup gained significant recognition for her role as Erin Silver in the CW series “90210,” a reboot of “Beverly Hills, 90210.” She was a main cast member for all 114 episodes, from 2008 to 2013. Following “90210,” she joined the cast of “The Following” as Max Hardy, an NYPD Intel Division officer, appearing in 30 episodes from 2014 to 2015. In 2017, Stroup took on the role of Joy Meachum in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “Iron Fist,” starring in 23 episodes until 2018. Her film credits also include a supporting role in Seth MacFarlane’s comedy “Ted” (2012) as Tracy and “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” (2016) as Lt. Sullivan, showcasing her versatility across different genres.
