Jesus Trejo is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer known for his stand-up specials, television roles, and children’s books. After establishing a significant presence in the Los Angeles comedy scene through performances at The Comedy Store, Jesus Trejo went on to a multifaceted career as a comedian, actor, writer, and producer. From 2012 to 2014, Trejo held a recurring role as Javier on the TBS sitcom ‘Sullivan & Son.’ His stand-up career gained national recognition with appearances at the Just For Laughs Festival in 2015, including Jeff Rosss ‘ROAST MASTERS INVITATIONAL.’ In 2016, he was named a New Face for the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival, followed by Variety Magazine recognizing him as one of their Top 10 Comics To Watch at JFL in 2017. Trejo continued his acting work, starring in the 2018 AARP documentary ‘Care to Laugh,’ which chronicled his life as a caregiver while advancing his comedy career.
From 2019 to 2020, he was a recurring character, Mr. Trujillo, in the Netflix sitcom ‘Mr. Iglesias.’ His first one-hour stand-up special, ‘Stay At Home Son,’ premiered on Showtime in May 2020, offering introspective commentary on his experiences. Concurrently, Trejo hosted and executive produced the web series ‘Tacos Con Todo’ for First We Feast from 2020 to 2022, exploring the vibrant Los Angeles taco scene alongside celebrity guests.
Later in September 2024, Trejo is set to release his second children’s book, ‘Mamás Magnificent Dancing Plantitas,’ further solidifying his diverse portfolio as a performer and author.
