Jihad Ward

Jihad Ward is a prominent NFL linebacker known for his impactful defensive plays and consistent performance across multiple teams. After a strong collegiate tenure that included recording 26 tackles and 2 sacks in 7 games at Globe Institute of Technology in 2013, Jihad Ward transferred to the University of Illinois in 2014. During his two seasons with the Fighting Illini, Ward quickly established himself as a key defensive player, tallying 51 tackles, 3 sacks, and a conference-leading 4 fumble recoveries in his first season (2014). His impactful collegiate career culminated with 104 tackles, 5.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three passes defensed.

Recognizing his strong athletic ability and versatility, the Oakland Raiders selected Ward in the second round (44th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact in his rookie NFL season, playing in all 16 games, starting 13, and accumulating 30 tackles for the Raiders.
