Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is a celebrated former professional footballer and manager, known for his prolific goalscoring across top European leagues and subsequent leadership roles in English football. He recently became a contestant on “Strictly Come Dancing” for the 2025 season. After winning the Taça de Portugal with Boavista in 1997, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink embarked on a prolific goalscoring career that saw him dominate top European leagues. His significant progression in English football began with a £2 million transfer to Leeds United in 1997.

He later played for Middlesbrough, reaching the UEFA Cup Final in 2006, and Cardiff City, where he played in the FA Cup Final in 2008, before retiring as a player that same year. Following his decorated playing career, Hasselbaink successfully transitioned into football management. He took charge of Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Second Division from 2013 to 2014, before returning to England to manage Burton Albion in League Two in 2014. In his inaugural season, he led Burton Albion to their first-ever promotion to League One as champions for the 2014-15 season.

He subsequently managed Queens Park Rangers in the Championship from 2015 to 2016 and Northampton Town in League One from 2017 to 2018.
