Joe Girardi

Joe Girardi, a four-time World Series champion as a player and manager, now shares his extensive baseball knowledge as a respected sports broadcaster. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Northwestern University in 1986, where he was also a two-time All-Big Ten selection and a three-time Academic All-American, Joe Girardi embarked on a distinguished career in professional baseball. Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the fifth round of the 1986 MLB draft, Girardi made his MLB debut in 1989, beginning a playing career as a catcher that spanned from 1989 to 2003. During this period, he played for the Chicago Cubs (1989-1992) and the Colorado Rockies (1993-1995).
