Joe Pera is a comedian, writer, and actor recognized for his unique, subdued comedic style, engaging audiences with his gentle observations and distinct narrative approach. After demonstrating his unique talent by winning Ithaca College’s stand-up competition three times before graduating in 2010, Joe Pera gained significant recognition through his collaborations with Adult Swim. This began with the 2016 special ‘Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep,’ which was quickly followed by ‘Joe Pera Helps You Find the Perfect Christmas Tree’ in the same year. These instrumental specials laid the groundwork for his critically acclaimed Adult Swim series, ‘Joe Pera Talks with You,’ which premiered on May 20, 2018.

In 2023, Pera delivered his 56-minute stand-up special, ‘Joe Pera: Slow and Steady,’ which was released on YouTube, further solidifying his reputation for engaging, understated humor and unique observational comedy. The same year marked his entry into voice acting with the role of Fern in Disney and Pixar’s animated feature film, ‘Elemental.’ Also in 2023, Pera launched his critically acclaimed podcast, ‘Drifting Off With Joe Pera,’ which quickly established a dedicated following for its distinctive meditative storytelling and gentle approach.
