Johannes Lochner

Johannes Lochner is a decorated German bobsledder, achieving multiple Olympic medals and World Championship titles in numerous events. After turning professional in 2011, Johannes Lochner quickly established himself as a dominant force in German bobsleigh, competing successfully in both two-man and four-man events. His breakthrough came swiftly, securing a shared silver medal in the Two-man at the FIBT World Championships in 2015, followed by another shared silver in the Mixed team event the same year. He continued his ascent in 2016, earning a shared silver in the Two-man at the IBSF World Championships and clinching a gold medal in the Mixed team category.

He also claimed a silver medal in the Two-man at the 2022 European Championships. Demonstrating continued excellence, he became the World Cup Champion in Two-man for the 2022–23 season, and secured gold medals in the Two-man at both the IBSF World Championships and the European Championships in 2023. More recently, in 2024, Lochner earned a silver in the Four-man and bronze in the Two-man at the IBSF World Championships, adding a silver in the Four-man and bronze in the Two-man at the European Championships. Looking ahead, Lochner aims to extend his decorated career through the Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
