The entertaining and multi-talented Giovanni Burton “John” Campea is a director, writer, producer, film critic, reviewer, and commentator. He is the host of The John Campea Show, and was the creator of the award-winning AMC Movie Talk. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, Campea attended Niagara College, and then later went to Tyndale University. He was then hired to run Collider Movie Talk, where he served as senior producer, host and showrunner. He left in 2017 and began to release videos on his YouTube channel. As a filmmaker, he released his first documentary, Prince of Peace: God of War, in 2008, and the following year completed his first feature film, The Anniversary. He now runs his own production company, Carson Drive Media, and released his second documentary, Movie Trailers: A Love Story, in 2020. His debut novel, The Pride, was published in 2016.
