John Tesh is an American musician, radio, and television presenter, celebrated for his diverse contributions to entertainment and media. He has transitioned from a news anchor and sportscaster to a Grammy-nominated musician and syndicated radio host, sharing his insights and music with a global audience. After a decade-long tenure as co-host of Entertainment Tonight (1986-1996), John Tesh built a multifaceted career as a Grammy-nominated musician, syndicated radio host, and Emmy-winning television presenter. His journey began in 1974 as a news reader for WKIX (AM) Raleigh, ascending over 12 years to news anchor positions in major markets, including becoming the youngest reporter at WCBS-TV in New York at age 22.
His live concerts raised over $7 million for PBS. In 2003, he launched The John Tesh Radio Show, a nationally syndicated program produced by TeshMedia Group and distributed by Compass Media Networks. Blending music with ‘Intelligence for Your Life’ insights, the show reaches audiences across the US, Canada, and the UK. In 2007, he won Syndicated Personality/Show of the Year by Radio & Records magazine.
Tesh further developed his ‘Intelligence for Your Life’ brand by authoring Intelligence for Your Life: Powerful Lessons for Personal Growth (2008) and launching both Intelligence for Your Health, a weekend radio show with Connie Sellecca (2010), and its television adaptation, Intelligence for Your Life TV (2014).
