Lester Holt is an accomplished American journalist and news anchor who has been at the forefront of news reporting for over 30 years. He is best known for his work as the anchor of NBC Nightly News, one of the most watched television news programs in the United States.
Born on March 8, 1959 in Hamilton Army Airfield, Holt began his career in journalism as a radio reporter in 1981, after graduating from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in government.
