Johnny Pemberton

Johnny Pemberton made his film debut in the James Gandolfini comedy adaptation In the Loop (2009), following early television roles on series such as ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ (2004-) and ‘Community’ (2009-2015). Expanding his versatile work, Pemberton lent his distinctive voice to animated series, most notably in a recurring capacity for ‘Bob’s Burgers’ (2010-) as well as a range of characters in various projects, establishing his comedic voice work in the industry. Pemberton’s career progression continued with significant roles in prominent film franchises. He appeared in the Jonah Hill blockbuster action comedy 21 Jump Street (2012) and its successful sequel 22 Jump Street (2014).

Demonstrating his range across various genres, he also featured in Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man (2015) and the comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). On television, Pemberton gained widespread recognition for his recurring role as Bo Thompson in the critically acclaimed NBC sitcom ‘Superstore’ (2015–2021) and as the main voice of Peanut in the Disney XD animated series ‘Pickle and Peanut’ (2015–2018). More recently, Pemberton has continued to build a substantial body of work in both film and television. He portrayed Johnny Barf in the critically lauded Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022) and Tim in the comedy film Unplugging (2022).

These roles further cemented his presence as a versatile comedic and dramatic actor, contributing to a diverse portfolio that showcases his ability to inhabit a wide array of characters. In 2024, Pemberton garnered attention for his multi-episode role as Thaddeus in the highly anticipated Prime Video drama series ‘Fallout,’ based on the popular video game franchise.
