Jordan Pickford

Jordan Pickford is an accomplished English international goalkeeper for Everton FC, recognized for his shot-stopping abilities and leadership on the field. After making his Premier League debut with Sunderland in January 2016, Jordan Pickford quickly established himself as a formidable goalkeeper. His early career development included crucial loan spells across various English divisions, providing him with a robust foundation. These included stints at Darlington (2012), Alfreton Town (2013), Burton Albion (2013), Carlisle United (2014), Bradford City (2014-2015), and Preston North End (2015-2016), which significantly honed his shot-stopping abilities and leadership.

He played a pivotal role in England’s 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign, where his critical saves helped the team reach the semi-finals, notably securing England’s first World Cup penalty shootout victory against Colombia with a decisive save. Pickford continued to demonstrate his clutch performance, scoring and saving a decisive penalty in the UEFA Nations League third-place match in 2019. During UEFA Euro 2020 (played in 2021), he set an all-time England record for consecutive scoreless minutes by a goalkeeper with 721 minutes and became the first goalkeeper to keep clean sheets in the first five games of a European Championship. He also saved two penalties in the Euro 2020 final shootout and was selected for the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
