Joseph Quinn was born on January 26, 1994, in Clapham, London, England. His connection to the dramatic arts began early, with his father, Anthony, serving as the head of screen and audio performance at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Quinn pursued formal training at LAMDA, graduating in 2015. His early career saw him acting on the London stage, where he received recognition for his performance in “Wish List,” earning him Best Actor in a Studio Production at the 2017 Manchester Theatre Awards. He was also named a 2018 Screen International Star of Tomorrow, signaling his rising talent within the industry.
Quinn’s television career began to gain momentum with roles in notable British series. He played Arthur Havisham in the BBC One series “Dickensian” (2016) and Leonard Bast in the four-part series “Howards End” (2017), where he acted alongside Hayley Atwell. His talent was further showcased in the BBC One adaptation of “Les Misérables” (2018) as Enjolras and in the Sky Atlantic miniseries “Catherine the Great” (2019) as Prince Paul. He also made his feature film debut in “Overlord” (2018) and appeared in “Make Up” (2019).
