His early life involved studying biology at Minot State University with aspirations of becoming a dentist, eventually earning his Bachelor’s degree in 2005. Before his acting career, Duhamel worked in construction and ventured into modeling, which ultimately led to his entry into show business. He won the title of Male Model of the Year in an International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition in 1997. His modeling background segued into acting when he was asked to audition for a role, paving the way for his career.
Duhamel’s acting career began in television, where he gained initial recognition. He starred as Leo du Pres on the ABC soap opera “All My Children” from 1999 to 2002, earning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2002. Following this, he took on a prominent role as Danny McCoy in the NBC crime drama “Las Vegas” from 2003 to 2008.
