Josh Duhamel is an actor, producer, and brand collaborator known for his roles in the ‘Transformers’ film series and television dramas like ‘Las Vegas,’ leveraging his broad appeal in various partnerships. After winning Male Model of the Year in an International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition in 1997, Josh Duhamel launched his acting career. He quickly gained recognition as Leo du Pres on the ABC soap opera ‘All My Children’ from 1999 to 2002, earning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2002. Duhamel then transitioned to primetime, starring as Danny McCoy in 106 episodes of NBC’s ‘Las Vegas’ (2003-2008).
His big-screen debut came in the romantic comedy ‘Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!’ (2004), followed by roles in films such as ‘Turistas’ (2006). A significant career turning point was his casting as Captain William Lennox in the blockbuster ‘Transformers’ film series, appearing in four installments from 2007 through 2017, which collectively grossed over $4.8 billion worldwide. During this period, Duhamel served as the official pace car driver for the 2009 Indianapolis 500 and hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards in 2013. His filmography expanded across diverse genres, with roles in romantic comedies like ‘When in Rome’ (2010), dramas such as ‘Safe Haven’ (2013) and ‘You’re Not You’ (2014), and lending his voice to animated series including ‘Fanboy & Chum Chum’.
Duhamel also serves as a spokesman for North Dakota tourism.
