Judah Kelly

Judah Kelly, born on November 15, 1996, in Townsville, Queensland, Australia, displayed an early interest in music. His early musical development included participation in the school choir at Queens Beach State School in Bowen, Queensland, in 2006. In 2011, Kelly attended the Junior Academy of Country Music in Tamworth, New South Wales, and subsequently became a regular attendee at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, an event showcasing country music talent. These early experiences provided a foundation for his later career pursuits.

Kelly’s career progression involved several attempts to enter the music industry. He auditioned for The X Factor Australia in both 2012 and 2014, neither of which resulted in advancement. His turning point arrived in 2017 when he participated in the sixth season of The Voice Australia. During the blind auditions, Kelly’s rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” led to him joining Delta Goodrem’s team. He advanced through various stages of the competition, performing songs such as “When We Were Young” by Adele and “Purple Rain” by Prince, consistently being saved by public vote.

On July 2, 2017, Judah Kelly was announced as the winner of The Voice Australia. Following his victory, his winner’s single, “Count On Me,” was released, debuting at number 19 on the ARIA Charts. He signed with Universal Music Australia, describing his musical style as “country with soul.” In 2018, he released his second studio album, “Real Good Time,” which included the singles “Real Good Time” and “Found.” He also embarked on a supporting tour for the album. Kelly has been nominated for New Artist of the Year at the Country Music Awards of Australia in both 2018 and 2019.
