American television actress Julia Ling is known for her roles in series such as ER, Chuck and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
Ling was always a high achiever, having performed dance routines and won awards on both national and international news programmes. She was a talented athlete, competing in dance, tennis and swimming, before going on to study biomedical chemical engineering at college. In 2004 she landed her first film role in Educating Lewis, starring in Undoing, High School, Love Sick Diaries and Halloween Knight over the following years. Ling also began to land parts in television shows, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a role in six episodes of ER. She starred in medical drama House, and had a recurring role in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip before joining the cast of The OC in 2007. She starred as Anna Wu in popular comedy series Chuck for three years, cementing her reputation as a talented actress and becoming a household name in the process. More guest roles soon followed in shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, The Deep End and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, with Ling becoming a highly sought after television star.
Alongside her acting career, Ling has also had other career highlights, including voice acting in video game Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, and competing in a martial arts competition Jackie Chan Disciples.
