Julie Gonzalo

Julieta Susana Gonzalo was born on September 9, 1981, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of eight, her family relocated to Miami, Florida. She initially pursued modeling before developing an interest in acting, leading her to Los Angeles. Her acting career began in 2002 with her feature film debut in the romantic comedy “I’m with Lucy.” She subsequently appeared in several films, including “Freaky Friday” (2003), “A Cinderella Story” (2004) where she played Shelby Cummings, and “Christmas with the Kranks” (2004) as Blair Krank. The year 2004 also saw her in “DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story” as Amber. In 2005, she took on a supporting role in the romantic comedy “Must Love Dogs.”

Gonzalo’s television career developed concurrently, starting with a role in The WB’s “Greetings from Tucson” (2002–2003) and a guest appearance on “NCIS” in 2003. A significant turning point came in 2006 when she secured the role of Parker Lee in The CW’s “Veronica Mars,” a role she reprised in 2019. Following this, she joined the cast of ABC’s legal comedy-drama “Eli Stone” (2008–2009) as Maggie Dekker, a performance for which she received an ALMA Award in 2008 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2011, Gonzalo was cast as Pamela Rebecca Barnes in the TNT revival of “Dallas,” a main cast role she held from 2012 to 2014. Her career further diversified with numerous made-for-TV movies for the Hallmark Channel, starting in 2016, and a main role as Andrea Rojas / Acrata in The CW’s “Supergirl” from 2019 to 2021. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2011.

Her more recent work includes TV movies such as “Jingle Bell Bride” (2020), “Cut, Color, Murder” (2022) as Ali Reed, and “3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost” (2023) as Anna Vazquez. She is also slated to appear in “A Novel Noel” and “Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane” in 2024, and “My Argentine Heart” in 2025. Over her career, Julie Gonzalo has demonstrated versatility across various genres in both film and television.
