Brittany Bullock, known professionally as Just Brittany, was born on June 11, 1989, in Houston, Texas. Raised in the Fifth Ward section of Houston, she attended Worthing High School. Following her graduation from Jesse Jackson Academy at the age of 16, Bullock began to pursue a career in music. Her early efforts led to the release of her single “Call Me for That Good” in 2010, which charted at No. 89 in R&B. This track, along with “Slumber Party” (No. 82 R&B) and “Color” (No. 82 R&B) in 2011, brought her to the attention of music industry labels. In 2011, she released an EP titled “Not Just a Pretty Face” through Cash Money Records.
Her career progressed with the release of two mixtapes, collectively titled “Queen of H-Town,” in 2013, with the song “Slow Bangin'” gaining significant radio play. In 2014, she released the album “Something Different” and was featured in Houston Trend Magazine. A notable event in 2015 involved allegations of plagiarism against Rihanna, when fans noted similarities between Brittany’s 2014 song “Better Have My Money” and Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money.” In 2016, she released her debut studio album, “Stripped.”
In 2017, Brittany participated in the VH1 series “Signed,” where she was signed by Rick Ross to his label, Maybach Music Group. That same year, she released her second studio album, “Brittany Houston,” which debuted on iTunes. Her reach expanded into reality television in 2018, when she joined the supporting cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” for its seventh season. Currently, she is signed to MusicXchange, with her album “RoundTrip” scheduled for release in 2025. Her discography also includes “I’m Not a Rapper” (2018) and “The Gemini in Me” (2022).
