Super Bowl hero Justin Tuck has had an exhilarating NFL career. Before hanging up his boots in 2016, Tuck famously played for the New York Giants for the best part of a decade. In his eleven seasons run in the big leagues, Tuck also played with the Oakland Raiders. Born and raised in Alabama, Tuck explored a wide range of varsity sports in his youth. A two-state champion in basketball, Tuck finally caught the Football bug in his freshman year of high school. There he would earn the Alabama Class 4A Player of the Year and earn an athletic scholarship for the University of Notre Dame. As Tuck came under the spotlight, it didn’t take long for the NFL to take notice.
Tuck’s time with the New York Giants gave way to some of his best performances on the field. Going up against the New England Patriots at the Super Bowl XLII and XLVI, earned Tuck and his team a double victory within five years. His performance at both games garnered Tuck high praise from the sporting community. Reflective of his collegiate career, Tuck is well remembered for smashing records and was even named third-team freshman All-American by The Sporting News. A testament to Antonio Pearce’s comment that “The Tuck legend has begun,” Tuck displayed his raw athleticism to the world. Tuck’s stellar play in the 2008 season opened the door to the Pro Bowl as one of the NFC’s starting defensive ends. Not long after, Tuck was voted All-Pro for the first time in his career.
Post-NFL, Tuck went on to earn his MBA at Wharton. Ambitious and a natural leader, Tuck now works for Goldman Sachs. There he is a vice president in Private Wealth Management and looks back on his NFL glory days with great pride.
