Kamie Crawford, born on October 25, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio, began her career in pageantry. In 2009, she won the Miss Maryland Teen USA title, competing for the first time. This achievement led her to represent Maryland in the Miss Teen USA 2010 pageant, which she won on July 24, 2010. She made history as the first contestant from Maryland to win the title and the fourth Black person to achieve this distinction. During her academic pursuits at Fordham University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications in 2015, Crawford started working in television and hosting in the tri-state area.

Crawford expanded her career into modeling, signing with JAG Models in 2013. In 2022, she was recognized as one of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Rookies, a feature she maintained through three consecutive issues, including the 60th Anniversary Issue in 2024. This brought her to walk the runway at Miami Swim Week in both 2023 and 2024. Her television hosting credits include significant roles on MTV’s “Catfish: The TV Show,” where she served as a rotating host in 2018 before becoming a permanent co-host in 2019, departing the show in 2024 after six years. She also hosted the reunion episode for Issa Rae’s “Sweet Life: Los Angeles” and, in 2022, signed an overall deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, leading to hosting roles for Paramount+’s “Are You the One?” and MTV’s “Ex on the Beach.” Outside of television, Crawford launched a relationship advice podcast, “Relationsh*t with Kamie Crawford,” in September 2021, which has received critical acclaim, including being named one of the 17 Best Podcasts for Women by The Today Show.
