Super Bowl winner and former quarterback Doug Pederson is currently in charge of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League. Pederson, a part of the Green Bay Packers team that won Super Bowl XXXI, backed up Brett Favre for the most of his 13-season playing career. He played as a backup to Dan Marino for the Miami Dolphins and started for the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles prior to his retirement in 2004.
Pederson was born in Bellingham, Washington. He is married to Jeannie Pederson and has three sons: Drew, Josh, and Joel. He is a devout Christian and resides in Moorestown, New Jersey. In between his stints with the Eagles and Jaguars, Pederson contributed to The 33rd Team, a “football Think Tank.”
Pederson served as Andy Reid’s assistant coach with the Eagles from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, Reid became the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and Pederson joined him as offensive coordinator. Pederson rejoined the Eagles as head coach in 2016. His greatest accomplishment was leading the franchise to their first Super Bowl triumph in Super Bowl LII of 2017, making him one of only four individuals in history to win the title as a player and a head coach. Pederson took a year break from football after being dismissed by Philadelphia at the conclusion of the 2020 season, and the following year, he was hired by the Jaguars.
