Karrueche Tran

Karrueche Tran made history in 2021, becoming the first person of Asian Pacific American descent to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program for her role as Vivian Johnson in the Emmy-winning web series ‘The Bay.’ Her acclaimed work on ‘The Bay’ (2013-2016) also earned her three Daytime Emmy Awards as a producer for Outstanding Digital Daytime Drama Series in 2016 and 2017. Tran established an early presence in fashion, launching her clothing line, The Kill, and modeling for brands including Lady Crooks by 2013. Her diverse early career in 2014 also included co-hosting BET’s 106 & Park and appearing in the TV One movie ‘The Fright Nite Files.’ Tran’s acting career expanded with her feature film debut in ‘3-Headed Shark Attack’ (2015) and a lead role in the short film ‘PrXde.’ She also signed with Wilhelmina Models LA in 2015, modeling for French athletic brand Le Coq Sportif. In 2016, she appeared in films such as ‘A Weekend with the Family’ and ‘The Nice Guys.’ A pivotal moment arrived in 2017 when she began her co-starring role as Virginia Loc in TNT’s acclaimed series ‘Claws,’ which she held for five seasons (2017-2022), solidifying her as a prominent television actress.

Tran also actively supports philanthropic efforts, collaborating with organizations such as Smile Train and Global Wildlife Conservation. In 2022, Tran took on hosting duties for Fuse TV’s ‘Upcycle Nation,’ a series focused on sustainable fashion. Expanding her television presence, she joined MTV’s ‘Ridiculousness’ as a co-star (2023). Most recently, in 2024, Tran portrayed rookie police officer Regina Smith in the Lifetime film ‘Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story’ and launched a successful OnlyFans account, reflecting her engagement with evolving digital platforms and direct audience connection.
