Kasey Hill

Kasey Jamal Hill was born on December 3, 1993, in Umatilla, Florida. He was raised by Jeff and Jennie Simmons. Hill showed early promise in basketball, earning the prestigious title of McDonald’s All-American during his senior year of high school. He attended Montverde Academy, where he played alongside future Florida teammate Michael Frazier II. His collegiate career continued at the University of Florida, playing for the Florida Gators men’s basketball team from 2013 to 2017.

During his freshman season at Florida, Hill served as a backup point guard to Scottie Wilbekin and contributed to the team’s advancement to the NCAA Final Four. Throughout his four years at the University of Florida, Hill consistently displayed his skills as a guard. In his senior year, the 2016–17 season, under coach Mike White, Hill achieved career highs, averaging 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game. His performance that season earned him a spot on the SEC All-Defensive Team. A notable achievement during this period was a 21-point, 5-rebound, 4-assist game during a 22-point victory over Kentucky on February 4, 2017. Following his college career, Hill was eligible for the 2017 NBA draft but went undrafted.

Hill transitioned to a professional basketball career in 2017. His international journey began in Hungary with Alba Fehérvár for the 2017–2018 season. He then moved to APOEL in Cyprus for the 2018–2019 season. The 2019–2020 season saw him play for Eisbären Bremerhaven in the German ProA league. In 2020, he had a brief stint with Wilki Morskie Szczecin in the Polish Basketball League before signing with Science City Jena in Germany later that year, where he played until 2021. He also played for Pärnu in 2021, Antalya Güneşi from 2021 to 2022, and most recently, the Shenzhen Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association in 2024.
