Lindsey Harding

Lindsey Harding has transitioned from a decorated WNBA player to a pioneering coach, recognized for her achievements in the NBA G League and her current role with the Los Angeles Lakers. After a decorated collegiate career culminating in her jersey number 10 being retired by Duke University in 2007, Lindsey Harding was selected as the first overall pick in the 2007 WNBA draft by the Phoenix Mercury. Her exceptional performance at Duke included being named to the All-ACC Freshman Team in 2003, earning Honorable Mention Kodak and Associated Press All-America honors in 2005-2006, and securing the ACC Defensive Player of the Year award in both 2006 and 2007. Harding capped her collegiate career in 2007 with numerous accolades, including Naismith National Player of the Year, WBCA National Defensive Player, ESPN.com National Player of the Year, Nancy Lieberman Award, Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award, USBWA All-American, John R.

She then spent four seasons with the Sacramento Kings as an assistant coach/player development coach, further honing her expertise in player development and team strategy. In 2023, Harding was appointed head coach of the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. Under her leadership, the team achieved the best record in the 2023–24 season, leading to her being named the NBA G League Coach of the Year, making her the first woman ever to receive this prestigious award. In July 2024, Harding joined the Los Angeles Lakers as an assistant coach, marking the latest progression in her distinguished NBA coaching career.
