Marques Townes

Townes first made his mark during his collegiate tenure, beginning at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2014. Across two seasons, he played in 57 games, starting all 33 contests in his sophomore year (2015-16) and averaging 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. During the 2017-18 season, he started all 38 contests for the Loyola Ramblers, averaging 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. His exceptional performance also earned him a spot on the 2018 MVC Championship All-Tournament Team.

Townes’ collegiate career culminated in the 2018-19 season, where he achieved Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year honors, averaging an impressive 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. He was also named NABC First Team All-District 16 and led Loyola to a share of its second consecutive MVC regular season title. Demonstrating his international versatility, Townes represented the Dominican Republic national basketball team at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. Following his decorated collegiate career, Townes embarked on a professional journey in international basketball.

In 2019, he signed with UCAM Murcia in Spain’s Liga ACB, where he played for two seasons. He continued his progression with stints at BC Kalev/Cramo in Estonia and Pieno žvaigžd?s Pasvalys in Lithuania in 2021, before moving to Tours Métropole Basket in France in 2022. From 2022 to 2023, he played for Kecskeméti TE in Hungary, followed by a period with Crailsheim Merlins in Germany in 2023, and BK Opava in the Czech Republic from 2023-2024. Most recently, Townes joined PAOK Thessaloniki in Greece in 2024 and signed with KB Peja in Kosovo in 2025, further solidifying his presence across top-tier European leagues.
