Kasie Sue Hunt was born on May 24, 1985, in Dearborn, Michigan, and raised in Wayne, Pennsylvania. She pursued her education at Conestoga High School, graduating in 2003. Hunt then attended George Washington University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international affairs in 2006, graduating magna cum laude. She furthered her academic career by obtaining a Master of Arts in sociology from St John’s College, Cambridge, UK. In January 2013, she returned to NBC News as an off-air reporter and producer, focusing on Congress and politics. Her presence on MSNBC grew, becoming a political correspondent in November 2014.
