Kathryn Newton, born on February 8, 1997, in Orlando, Florida, began her acting career at the age of four. Her early work included a recurring role as Colby Marian Chandler in the soap opera “All My Children” from 2002 to 2004. She also appeared in the short films “Abbie Down East” (2002) and “Bun-Bun” (2003). Demonstrating early talent, she secured the main role of Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series “Gary Unmarried” (2008–2010), for which she received Young Artist Awards in 2010 for Best Performance in a TV Comedy Series and Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama).
Her career progressed with notable appearances in major films and television series, establishing her as a versatile actress. She gained recognition for her lead role as Alex in the horror film “Paranormal Activity 4” (2012), earning the Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
