Brett Haber

Brett Haber is an award-winning sportscaster and host, recognized for his extensive work across national and regional sports outlets, particularly within the world of tennis. After quickly establishing himself as an anchor on ESPN’s flagship news program, SportsCenter, in the mid-1990s, Brett Haber went on to become an award-winning sportscaster and host. His foundational career included roles at regional stations before he succeeded Warner Wolf as sports director at WCBS-TV in 2000. Haber also branched into radio, providing sports commentary for ‘Elliot in the Morning’ on WWDC-FM from 1998 to 2001, and later hosting the morning drive program on WWZZ-FM in Washington, D.C.

in 2003, before returning to full-time television in 2004. Haber significantly deepened his connection to tennis when he joined the Tennis Channel in 2004. As a prominent figure, he covered grand slam events, ATP World Tour, WTA matches, Davis Cup, Fed Cup, and the Champions Series. His expertise led to his appointment as the lead play-by-play announcer for Tennis Channel’s 3D coverage of the French Open in Paris in 2011.

He also contributed to Tennis Channel’s U.S. Open broadcast team, calling live matches and encore telecasts. In 2009, he joined USA Today as a rotating columnist for their ‘Keeping Score’ section. Throughout his career, Haber has garnered significant recognition, including 17 regional Emmy Awards and a national Emmy for SportsCenter in 1996.

Haber continues his long-standing and impactful relationship with Tennis Channel, signing a five-year contract extension through 2028 in 2024, solidifying his role as a key voice in tennis broadcasting. Additionally, he has served as a consistent consultant for Nike, Inc. since 2002, leveraging his extensive sports knowledge and industry connections.
