Katie Kerr is a musical theatre actress, singer and dancer with credits that span stage and screen. Trained at the London School of Musical Theatre, her professional debut came with the role of Chiffon in the award-winning production of Little Shop Of Horrors, at the Menier Chocolate Factory which later transferred to the West End. Kerr subsequently went on to star in another West End production, Fat Pig, as Helen, and has since performed in a broad range of other plays and musicals including A Chorus of Disapproval, Stepping Out, Boy George’s TABOO, and WAG The Musical. Katie has also appeared on television in the BBC 1 drama What Remains.
Kerr has also been seen in such notable productions as Wicked, Sweeney Todd with the English National Opera, How to Succeed in Business at the Royal Festival Hall and Sunset Boulevard, starring opposite Glenn Close. Most recently, Kerr portrayed Hattie in Opera North’s highly acclaimed production of Kiss Me Kate and played a number of roles in Bumblescratch at London’s Adelphie Theatre. Katie is currently appearing in the West End production of Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre as both a member of the ensemble and first cover for Madame Thenardier. When not on stage, she teaches performing arts and musical theatre to aspiring youngsters as the director of the Kreate Academy.
